We started the morning with a quick reminder of the protocol for efficient use of the AED, which is kept in a convenient spot at Manly Yacht Club in case we need the use of it. Thanks, John for taking this on.
What a perfect day for a Sailability Sail. The overcast day kept the temperature under control, and at the beginning and end of the day, there was plenty of wind to give our visitors a calming sail. We did have a few moments in the middle of the day when it seems the breeze had forgotten us at Manly, but this picked up after a few short minutes and we were on the way again.
Sailing Coordinator for the day was Petra, in her usual tranquil way, with Warwick and Ken in Charlies Chariot, Malcolm on the Pontoon with Steven.
Wilma, was our wonderful registrar.
Sailors: Skye, Denis, Jeremy, John, Brian, Sophie, Rob, Michael were kept busy sailing our guests around the Cove. Corey was doing his great job on the radios, making sure everyone had plenty of time on the water. Justine had a sailing lesson from Denis. Steve was a helper on the deck.
Thanks so much to Tristan for bringing Xavier down for a sail, Jason for bringing Ivan, and everyone else who helped make the day such a satisfying one. Ariane brought Gracie, Bree brought Peter, Skye brought Shane, Paula brought Ella and Tarek, Glen brought David, Rodney, Ginny, Luke; Joel brought Eddie, Kyle, James. Last of all, Sontash arrived with speedy Hanlin.
All hands on deck for the putting away operation after a fabulous sailing morning at Manly.
