This morning was overcast with light winds. 5 Hansa were launched and our 14 volunteers worked as a team to give our 10 participants a very enjoyable day’s sailing.
The highlight of the day was a pod of dolphins were seen cruising around the harbour by many of our skippers and participants. A new experience for some on our glorious harbour.
Ragnhild took Cecilia and Skye took Julie out for an early sail to learn some sailing skills. Ivan skippered Jackie in Hansa Alex for a long sail.
Grace and Terese arrived early to get a chance to sight the dolphins during their sail. Brian and Perry from Sargood had a wonderful first sailing experience with Sailability, with an added bonus also sighting the dolphins.
Daniel, Danille, Sandra, Kate and Stuart from S.C.S all participated. Danille enjoying her solo sail. Guy now an official skipper in our Hansa’s took Stuart out for a sail.
Thanks to Peter W, Peter B, Julie who had a hot humid day on the Pontoon.
Warwick and Caroline on Charlie’s Chariot watching out for our participants and the dolphins. Corey on the radio, Eli on registration and Denis and Michael skippering all made the day enjoyable.
