15 keen volunteers arrived for a pleasant day’s sailing – the only problem being a total lack of wind.
Forest – a first-timer – was our first participant. He came with his mother, grandmother and her friend from Canberra. Forest preferred the power boat to sailing, but hopefully will said the next time. Warwick took his grandmother for a sail.
With six 303s out we soon had Grace and Tom out on the water, followed by Kyle, Eddie and James from Catholic Care.
By now we enjoyed a good breeze with Matt and Elizabeth having a faster sail, as did Tarek, James and Alise from Northside.
With a gap between participants we avoided any busy rush periods.
Ginny, David and Rodney from Sunnyfield all had a good sail and were followed by Emmon and Elliot from Luz All Abilities.
Layla, Leonards and Zachary opted for a ride in Charlie’s Chariot.
Charlie’s Chariot was skippered by John W., Warwick and Jennie F., with Ken as photographer.
Many thanks to all the sailing boat skippers, and the volunteers on the pontoon, registration desk and life jackets. Mal B. was the Sailing Day Coordinator.
