This sunny Monday was a busy one with only 5 boats out due to a number of our volunteers being away, and a lot of visitors! Steve, John W, John A, Jackie, Michael and Denis were our sailors, in a light westerly breeze. Brian S was the Sailing Day Coordinator, with Warwick on Charlie’s Chariot, Helen on registrations and lifejackets, and Cory on radio.
We had a visit from Ben early in the day, then 2 groups from The Avenue, followed by groups from Arooma, Cromer NBCS, then Sydney Comm Service, for a total of 28 participants!
Despite the non-stop day and late finish, one of the highlights was John W and Warwick taking Georgie for a ride on Charlie’s Chariot. She smiled and laughed the whole time – especially going sideways over waves from the various ferries – and didn’t want to go back to the pontoon. She was a complete delight to have on board and we can’t wait for her next visit!
