This morning was a perfect day for sailing, a medium North Easterley and mild temperature, and we had 10 volunteers at Sailability. We decided to run a training day for these people as we felt that that was needed. John Weaver took charge of the day, running through the basics of rigging the boats, then each learner sailor teamed themselves with a more competent sailor, and we took to the water for some very basic drills of steering, tacking and gibing.
After a couple of hours of concentrated practise, we disembarked, tidied the boats away, and felt very comfortable about a pleasant day, well spent.
