Photo of HelenThere were over 40 Community Groups that use volunteers show casing their activities, and encouraging people to become a volunteer in their work place. These included 2 Sailability groups, Manly and Pittwater, as well as St John, Easy Transport, Palliative Care, Northern Beaches Library, etc. It became a Market Place for selling the idea of volunteering for all who attended. Tables were allocated to each group, and brochures, photos showing the range of activities, banners, balloons, lollies and more encouraged people to put their names on the lists.
At 11. 30, Ken appeared, and Helen went over to the Palliative Care table.
The Expo was well attended, and we managed to have 10 people on our list who showed interest in being Sailability Volunteers for the future.
