Despite the overcast skies, we elected to continue with our sailing as the breeze was ideal, and the temperature balmy. On top of this, we were expecting 30 sailing participants to attend, and we know how people look forward to their Sailing Sessions.
Our keen team consisted of Sailing Coordinator, Eli, Pontoon Manager, Steven, Warwick on Charlie’s Chariot, with observer, Mai, Sailors: David, Jeremy, Denis, Sophie, Michael, Brian. Helping on the pontoon were Justine and Bridget. Corey was the expert on the radio: what an important job this turns out to be when we are having a busy day. We also have a couple of brand new sailors trained up for next time, because of the time between launching the boats, and our first participant group arriving. (Mai and Tristan).
What an amazing time our eager participants had this morning, not only the company of their friends on their travels, with 2 groups coming all the way from Blacktown, and joining in with the locals.
Ability Choice brought Genevieve, Anna, Gheel.
Headway brought Mark. Tristan brought Xavier; Jason brought Ivan; Skye brought Shane.
Care Culture brought James, Ben, Dylan, George, Jesse, Leon, Kizzie, Nathan, Oscar, Zeb, Daisy, Archie, Daig. Sontash brought Hanlin nice and early today. Ketla brought Jemima.
Luz All Abilities brought Riley, Peter, Ari, Josie, Yash, Tara.
All agreed that it was an amazing morning, and quickly packed the boats and equipment away ready for next time.
