The sunny but cold winter days continued for our sailing day, with a strong breeze and choppy water.
Eli came down early to open up, but unfortunately, with only a small number of volunteers, we were only able to launch three boats. Once again Wilma and Corey gave sterling service looking after our arriving guests, fitting lifejackets and managing the comings and goings of the boats.
The first group from Headway arrived nice and early, and Lucia, Harrison, Harry, James, Benjamin Ashley and Feifei were able to enjoy a spirited sail with Jeremy, Michael and Denis. David and Ken provided support and photographic record on Charlies Chariot and John W and Steve L. managed the docking of the boats, with great assistance from two new volunteers, Dani and Steve.
The next to arrive was Dylan, Daisy, Oliver Jake, Zeb, Ben, Matilda, Jesse, George and Oliver from Care Culture, who all got a chance to sail or have a ride in Charlies Chariot. Hanlon then arrived and had a quick sail before we packed up, as the wind strength was increasing.
At the end of the day all participants seemed to have enjoyed their experience on the water with Manly Sailability.
