What a beautiful morning to be volunteering at Manly Sailability. Thankyou to the volunteers for your volunteering efforts today.
I [ Warwick ] stepped in to the SDC job as Michael Burnett phoned in sick this morning.
All volunteers got to work & boats were rigged , tents up , coffee & tea was made available.
Unfortunately a problem arose with Charlies Chariot — motor wouldn’t start .
MANY, MANY THANKS go to Manly Sailing School for lending Robie R to us this morning for our rescue boat.- THANKS Nikki.
Peter W. & Peter B. volunteered to take Robbie R & did a great job looking after all sailing boats. while on the water.
Malcolm B. Ken B. Caroline H. Nola B all did a sterling job on the dock & fitting participants with life jackets
Corey N was our timekeeper & radio man , as usual a great job was done.
Helen H. made sure there was tea & coffee for all & did the registrations of all participants .
First group to arrive was Arranounbai –
Gi Gi was quick to fit on a life jacket & was away with volunteer Sky for a sailing experience.
Bernardo was next with John W. as the skipper., followed by Grace with Denis as the skipper of Woody.
Shane [ single participant ] went sailing with Brian in Alex Martin.
Sky was back again & this time took Stuart [ CPA] in Dolly Wallace . Stuart was very disabled participant & this was his first time in a small sailing boat. His carer took the time to get him settled in the boat . He
certainly enjoyed his sailing & will be back. James G. also took participants sailing & as usual created fun on the water for all.
ASPEC arrived with very eager young participants wanting to go sailing.. Jack went with John P in Eli D , followed by Mitchel with John W. in Ralph Newman., then closely followed by Clem with David W. in Black Swan .
Jack with John P.in Eli D.. John W. was ready again & took Mason in Ralph Newman.. Jayden went with Denis L. in Woody.. Reece with with Brian S. in Alex Martin, Oliver with Jim Gale in Vin.
Phil [ Royal Rehab ] , another first timer with Manly Sailability went sailing with Sky in Dolly Wallace. He really enjoyed the experience.
Ben , a regular , went sailing with David W. Ben also really enjoys his time at Manly Sailability.
A few participants from ASPEC were lucky to have 2nd sailing experiences . These children were very polite to our volunteers which was appreciated.

THANKYOU to David W. — working out the problem with C.C. At the end of the morning , David took the battery to Battery World at Brookvale – Battery needed to be replaced , so purchased a new battery & fitted it back in.
