What a beautiful morning for our training. 15 volunteers turned up. It began with Helen giving a very good description of what she does in registering the participants. Corey gave a talk on the correct use of the radios , operation & talking. Warwick talked on what is required by the SDC. Then we broke into two groups for training as follows:
Eli spoke on requirements of Pontoon Manager, working of the hoist, practical demonstration of work the hoist & fitting of the new slings.
Warwick advised on the requirements of C. C. & stating & shutdown procedures.
Denis gave a great practical demonstration of the correct rigging & de- rigging of the boats. Denis also had the white board out to show the best sailing requirements.
Morning closed with sandwiches supplied & made by Helen. Thank you!
I feel that we all got something out of the morning.
