The forecast tells us it is going to rain and storm, but everything looks fine at 6.30 a.m. What are we to do? We go ahead of course. Hopefully we’ll get a good days sailing in for our groups for today: The A Team, with Greg and Kerri, consisting of Adam, Alistair and Greg. These three had a great sail, in the perfect conditions. Greg chose to use Charlie’s Chariot to keep an eye out for his friends.
Guests from Sargood arrived next, with Seb: Simon, his children Chantal, Joshua and Amelia, and wife Olivia. All had a wonderful time on the water judging by the huge smiles.
Last group for the day, BIRDS, with Bella and Gaynor used up the rest of the time: Patrick, Brad, 2 Alans, Carlo, Stuart, Jimmy, May, Steve, Danielle and Denise used the sailing dinghies or Charlie’s Chariot to get out onto the water. Conditions were still perfect when all had had a go, so boats were cleaned and put away, well before that forecast storm came in later in the day.
Our fabulous team for the day consisted of:
Sailing Coordinator: Jenny.
Pontoon Manager: Malcolm.
Registrar: Helen, back from her holiday on safari in South Africa.
Radio: Tony. Time Keeper: Denis.
Support Boat staff: Brian, Corey. Photographer: Eli and Danelle.
Sailors: Ragnhild, John, Ian, Michael, Warwick, David, John.
Pontoon crew: Nola, Jackie, Ken.
A great team for a great day.
