Today was a perfect sailing day – sunny day with a 10-12kt nor-easter which meant there was also flat water in Manly Cove.
Today we had 6x 303’s on the water + Ivan in the little boat. After a slow start it got busy on the deck and pontoon later on with 24 participants being taken out for a sail or taken out for a ride on Charlie’s Chariot.
We had 14 volunteers today who all worked like a well-oiled machine in getting the participants registered, boats rigged and launched, and then taking people out for a sail – and then getting people out of the boats (including numerous hoists of people in slings) and packing up. And not forgetting Warwick and crews operating Charlie’s Chariot keeping an eye out on all the boats when they were on the water sailing. Well done and special thanks to all the volunteers.
It was a good days sailing and all the participants seemed to enjoy the sailing and hanging out in the sunshine with all their mates and carers on the deck.
